Casey Haynes

Founder

Casey is a detail-oriented financial expert and advisor with a keen sense of initiative and entrepreneurship. He has built a career based on a passion for identifying new opportunities, thinking outside of the box, creating system and process efficiencies, utilizing best-in-class technologies, and providing key performance analysis and strategies to help make smart business decisions. He earned his MBA and BS in professional accounting from West Virginia University. He is currently located in Bend, Oregon, where he practices accounting and acts as a trusted advisor for business owners from all over the country. He is an active CPA in the state of California.

Casey has served as a CFO, accounting manager, and controller for an array of start-ups and established private companies. He has helped clients from countless industries implement efficient and automated processes and technologies while providing trusted guidance and support to owners and CEOs. Casey began his career preparing corporate and individual tax returns and providing full-service accounting responsibilities. He learned the intricacies of accounting in a variety of industries. He has spent many years in the private industry as an accounting manager, helping build scalable operations, financial analysis and strategies, and successful teams. Casey specializes in CFO and tax services, making him an ideal partner for CEOs and business owners far and near.

Casey’s goal is to forever grow. He actively pursues his health and happiness through live music, playing guitar, traveling, camping, exercising regularly, reading, and maintaining a great social presence with family and friends.

Nicholas J. Kirkendall is a highly skilled and experienced Enrolled Agent with over a decade of expertise in tax compliance and mitigation. Specializing in multi-state tax compliance, Nicholas has honed a strong understanding of the complexities and nuances of tax laws, ensuring clients adhere to state and federal regulations. His proficiency also extends to corporate finance, where he has provided valuable insights to businesses looking to optimize their financial strategies.

Nicholas’ career also includes a focused area of specialization in Research and Development (R&D) Tax Credits. Through his expertise in this field, he has helped clients maximize opportunities for tax savings by navigating the intricate qualifications and documentation required for R&D credits.

Nicholas holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Southern New Hampshire University, where he developed a strong foundation in accounting principles and tax law. His academic background, combined with years of professional experience, has enabled him to become a trusted advisor in the field of tax compliance and financial management.

Outside of his professional life, Nicholas cherishes his time spent with family. When he’s not focused on complex tax issues, he values the balance brought by quality moments with loved ones.

Controller

Tamiris is a reliable, detailed-oriented accountant and business operations manager. She brings 10 years of global experience, from finance and IT to human resources and project management. Her broad range of experiences within diversified industries have built the foundation of her expertise in accounting and business management. She’s a natural problem solver, passionate about finance, and thrives on tackling new challenges. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting in São Paulo, she lived in Cincinnati, Ohio, for 2 years.

She’s currently located in Brazil but loves to travel! In her free time, you can find her at concerts, reading, or adventuring herself in interior design.

Joanne Enriquez

Tax Compliance Manager, Senior Accountant

Joanne is a goal-oriented, certified public accountant. She’s also a Certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor, Certified Xero Payroll, and Certified Xero Advisor. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy degree from Bataan Peninsula State University. Her passion for continuous learning has made her a tech-savvy and successful on-demand cloud accountant. Her best attribute is her high level of integrity.

She is a well-trained accountant with five years of meaningful experience in diverse industries doing bookkeeping, accounting, and auditing. A high achiever with a consistent history of taking the initiative and being solution-oriented.

Jacob Spady

FP&A Analyst

Jacob Spady is a financial analyst based in Edmond, Oklahoma. He joined the CFO and Finance Team, bringing his passion for dissecting financial data and revealing insights that inform decision-making. With a unique ability to conduct thorough analyses and create financial models, Jacob plays a key role in contributing to the financial success of his organization. He has developed expertise in various data analytics tools, including Microsoft Excel, SQL, Power BI, and Tableau. His work is driven by a strong commitment to financial accuracy and the effective presentation of findings.

Diego Eriksson

As a seasoned Financial Analyst based in Quito, Ecuador, Diego brings a wealth of international experience in consumer internet and CPG finance to Compass CPA, PC. His core expertise lies in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), complemented by a diverse background in Corporate Finance, Corporate Development, Analytics, and E-commerce working for large multinational enterprises, growth companies and startups. His international perspective and experience, after working for most of his career based out of London, UK, allows him to offer unique solutions to Compass CPA. Diego is passionate about leveraging cutting-edge financial technologies to drive efficiency and growth. Whether it’s optimizing financial models, preparing Board presentations, actively managing due diligence processes with growth companies, conducting in-depth market analysis, or collaborating on cross-functional projects, he is committed to delivering exceptional value to clients. Outside of work, Diego enjoys playing tennis, traveling, exploring the rich cultural heritage of Quito and staying active in the beautiful Andean surroundings. Carla Arriola

Carla Arriola brings decades of experience to Compass CPA, having worked with companies of all sorts, including restaurants, food events, marketing, real estate, insurance, and home staging.

Known as a master of all things among co-workers, Carla enjoys wearing all the hats. Besides being a rock star accountant, she’s also worked in operations, client services, and project management, and she strives to bring warmth, accessibility, and efficiency to the clients she’s working with every day.

Carla’s favorite places to be are Paris, New Orleans, Lake Tahoe, LA, and anywhere in Mexico.

Agustina Peralta

A public accountant graduated from the University of Buenos Aires with diverse experience spanning accounting firms, startups, and multinational corporations. Proficient in the entire accounting spectrum, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), reconciliations, financial reporting, cash flows, US tax compliance, and participating in audits across various industries.

Focused on details, ensuring the accuracy of every aspect of the accounting process. Skilled in QuickBooks, Bill.com, and multiple ERP systems, she amplifies efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.

Princess Marie A. Juan is a highly motivated and goal-oriented individual who is always looking to expand her knowledge and build her career. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Management Accounting, in March 2023. Her academic achievements are a testament to her dedication and hard work.

Princess versatility and dedication have made her an asset to every growing company and startup that she has worked with. She has gained experience in various roles, such as virtual assistant, SEO writer, graphic designer, and data entry. Prior to her freelance work, she also worked as a bookkeeper for a company, where she helped manage expenses and accounts payable.

Princess has been developing her skills in writing and the arts, which eventually became a full-time career for her. As a content writer and graphic designer, she is highly skilled in using various software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate, Canva, and others.

Normina Cua is a detail-oriented and result-driven professional with a strong background in accounting and management. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting Technology from the University of Mindanao and holds a Diploma in Information and Communication Technology from Northlink Technological College. She worked as an administrative assistant for five years while pursuing her education, showcasing her ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. With proficiency in SAP and QuickBooks Online, Normina has nearly four years of experience as a Cost Accounting Specialist, focusing on recording transactions, managing accounts payable, handling fixed assets, and overseeing cost allocation. Her dedication and expertise led to her promotion to Financial Analyst, where she took on responsibilities in financial reporting. In addition to her accounting experience, Normina has over a year of managerial experience at Jollibee, where she developed leadership and operational skills in a fast-paced environment. Normina is pursuing a 1-year Bridging Program for a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy to further enhance her qualifications. In her free time, she enjoys watching K-dramas, reading, learning new technologies, playing mind games, and participating in sports like swimming, volleyball, and badminton. Currently based in Panabo City, Davao del Norte, Mindanao.
